via DEVICE MANAGER but HYPER-V r2 doesn't come with a DEVICE MANAGER.
Now what I was thinking of doing is attempting to install the USB drivers for the UPS etc. I did approach the tech support of POWERWARE and guess what they haven't even heard of HYPER-V R2 or Windows Server 2008 Core edition :-( We have been able to install this software in other versions of WINDOWS up until now without a problem but with HYPER-V R2, I am not sure how it will work as you must install USB drivers manually, they not being signed drivers. We use a POWERWARE 5115 UPS for our servers and it comes with an application called LANSAFE v6.0 which you can setup to schedule an AUTO SHUTDOWN of the server in the event of power failure. Recently, I have started setting up HYPER-V 2008 R2 servers and although everything is sorted, something still remains usorted.
